Jim Gallien
- driver who gives Chris a ride to Denali National Park from Fairbanks. He also offers Chris boots and a lunch which he accepts but when offered other necessities, Chris refused. Jim even offered to drive him to a supply store which Chris refused. Jim also tried to make Chris change his mind by telling him unpleasant stories, but Chris did not care.

Ken Thomas- Owner of an Anchorage auto-body shop who found Chris' body

Gordon Samel- Ken Thomas' employee, also found Chris' body

Ferdie Swanson- Construction worker who hiked with Thomas and Samel and also found Chris' body.

Wayne Westerberg- Hyperkinetic man with thick shoulder, black goatee. Owns a grain elevator in Carthage. Gives Chris a job and had a bond with him. He felt as if 'Alex' was vunerable and wanted to take him under his wing. Chris became attached to Carthage and tells people that he is from Carthage because he loved spending his time there. He would have probably been the father that Chris never had. Unfortunately, he was arrested for telling illegal T.V. boxes.

Bud Walsh- National Park Service Ranger who found Chris' car.

Crazy Ernie- gives Chris a ride and even offered Chris a job on a ranch in northern Calicorna but never paid him. Chris steals a bike and throws it away eventually.

Jan Burres- 41 year old traveling around west selling 'knick-knacks'. Camped with Chris for 1 week. Chris sent her and her boyfriend a postcard every month or two. Offered warmer clothes which he refused slyly by stuffing them under her car seat when she was not present.

Peter Lalitka- Private Investigator who worked for DIA and CIA who was looking for Chris.

Lori Zarza- 2nd assistant manager at McDonalds where Chris worked. He thought he was the reason why Chris quit his job. (he told Chris that he should take more baths
which put him in bad terms with Chris)
